To edit large amounts of data, the best practice is to export data out, edit, and import it back into 120Water.
If you need to make updates to a large amount of data in your 120Water platform, don't worry – we've got you covered! Follow these simple steps to export your data, make edits, and import it back into the platform:
Step 1: Export Your Data
We recommend exporting locations and service lines to get the most comprehensive dataset. If applicable, you can export to your state template file type as well. Reference this Help Center article on how to export from the platform.Step 2: Make Edits to the CSV File
- Open the CSV file using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. If you need help on how to do this, we've got a video walking through how to import a .csv into Google Sheets here.
- Make the necessary edits to the data directly in the spreadsheet. You can update existing information, add new data, or delete rows as needed.
- Remember to consult the API Documentation provided by 120Water to ensure that you're using the correct values in the spreadsheet. This is very important to ensure that your import does not have errors. You can find the documentation here.
Step 3: Re-Import the Data
- Log back in to your 120Water account and navigate to the inventory page.
- Follow the instructions in this Help Center article on how to import your data into the platform.
- Once the import is complete, review your data to confirm that the updates were successful and address any import errors. Common errors and how to troubleshoot them can be found here.
And that's it! With these simple steps, you can easily update your data in bulk and keep your 120Water platform up-to-date with the latest information. If you have any questions or run into any issues along the way, don't hesitate to reach out to our support@120water.com for assistance. We're here to help!
