Searching for a Service Line
First you will navigate to the Inventory Tab. Just like in the Locations tab, you can quickly search for specific service lines using the search bar in the upper left corner. You can search by address, service line ID, material classification, or other key identifiers to locate the exact record you need.
Updating a Service Line Record
To make updates:
- Click on the address to open the Service Line Overview Page.
- Navigate to the Assets tab to view detailed information about the service line.
- Click "Edit Details" to update information.
Editing Service Line Details
- Most fields will have dropdown menus where you can select the appropriate updates.
- For example, if a field inspection confirms a Non-Lead PVC service line, update the Material Classification accordingly.
- Add notes in the Classification Basis field to document why the update was made (e.g., field verification, historical records, test results).
- Be sure to double check your state's requirements to ensure that any changes comply with regulatory documentation requirements for audit readiness.
Once updates are complete, click "Save" to confirm changes and keep records accurate and up to date.
Important Note: if updating a service line to be Non-lead, both the System Owned side and Customer Owned Side need to be identified in order for it to be changed from Unknown to Non-Lead.
