Getting Started: Communications

Leverage the 120Water platform to communicate with your residents and enhance transparency throughout your compliance journey.

120Water provides several communication tools to help utilities communicate with their residents: verification surveys, annual notices, Consumer Confidence Reports, and making your inventory public through the Public Transparency Dashboard (PTD). If you have the Basic,  Pro, or Enhanced package with 120Water, you have the Communications Module included.

Surveys

120Water can assist utilities with service line verification through designing and deploying surveys to your residents. These surveys ask residents if they know what material their service line is made of and, if so, how they identified it. Based on their responses, we can update your inventory accordingly.

This survey process also helps prioritize field verifications. For instance, if a resident reports having a lead service line, your team can prioritize a site visit to confirm the material.

Annual Notices

In July 2025, utilities are required to send Annual Notices to residents with GRR, Lead, or Unknown service lines. 120Water can design and deploy these notices on your behalf and track when they were sent in the platform. This ensures that if your utility is audited, you can provide digital proof of the notices and the dates they were sent.

Move-Ins/Move-Outs & ALE

Utilities are also required to send notices for Move-Ins, Move-Outs, and ALEs (Action Level Exceedances). 120Water can assist with managing and sending these notices to ensure you stay compliant with reporting requirements.

Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs)

120Water can help design, develop, and send Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs). We'll work with your team to include the required data and ensure that your CCRs meet all compliance requirements.

Public Transparency Dashboard (PTD)

For systems serving over 50,000 people, PTDs must be available digitally. All systems must be able to present their inventory upon request. 120Water simplifies this with the Public Transparency Dashboard, a live, map-based view of your inventory. As updates are made in the platform, those changes are automatically reflected in your PTD, ensuring transparency while reflecting the most up-to-date information.

These tools are designed to streamline communication, boost transparency, and help your utility stay on top of important compliance tasks. If you need assistance with any of these features, contact your Account Manager.
