Easily Filter, Export, and Access Your Submission Data in a Few Simple Steps
Exporting submission data from State Dashboard is a quick and easy way to organize and analyze the information you need outside the platform. Whether you’re generating reports for your team or simply saving records for later use, this guide will walk you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Navigate to the Submissions Tab
- Log in to the State Dashboard.
- Click on the Submissions tab located on the navigation menu.
Step 2: Apply Filters (Optional)
- If you want to export specific data, apply filters before exporting:
- Click the funnel icon in the top-right corner.
- Choose the filter criteria.
- For example, to filter all water systems with an "Accepted" inventory status:
- Select Status from the filter options.
- Check the Accepted box on the left-hand side.
- The table will now display only the filtered results.
Step 3: Initiate Export
- Click the Export button.
- Choose the Submissions option (Note: the SDWIS option is specific to submissions into the SDWIS system).
- A pop-up will confirm that the export process has started.
Step 4: Access Your Export
- After initiating the export, a notification will appear with a link to the Export Log:
- Click on the Export Log link in the notification.
- Alternatively, navigate to your Account Settings (gear icon in the top menu).
- Select Export Log from the options on the left-hand side.
- Locate your file and confirm the export status as Completed.
Step 5: Download Your File
- Once the status shows Completed, click the Download button.
- The data will be downloaded as a CSV file, which can be opened in spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
Additional Notes
- File Format: All exports are in CSV format for compatibility with spreadsheet applications.
- PWS Column Details: The export file separates Public Water Systems (PWS) information into two columns: PWS Name and PWS ID.
- Processing Time: Larger files may take a few minutes to process. Refresh the page periodically to update the status.
