How to Export Data Out of PWS Insights
PWS Insights makes it easy to export key data for internal analysis or sharing with external stakeholders. Follow these steps to export the data you need:
Step 1: Navigate to the Utilities Tab
To begin the export process, go to the Utilities tab in the PWS Insights platform. This is your central hub for managing and exporting water system data.Step 2: Choose Your Export Criteria
You have a few options when deciding how to export your data:
- Export All Systems: To export data for every water system in your view, check the box next to PWSID. This will select all systems currently visible in the table.
- Export by Segment or Filter: Use the filtering tools to refine your data—for example, by state or system type. If you only want data for water systems in Mississippi, simply apply the filter, select all, and then click Export.
Step 3: Access Your Export
Once you initiate the export, you can retrieve your file in one of two ways:
- Download Folder: The export will automatically download to your local Downloads folder.
- Export Log: You can also access your file later by clicking your name in the top-right corner of the platform, selecting Settings, and then navigating to the Export Log section. There, you’ll find a history of all your exports available for download.
Pro Tips
- Use filter to tailor your export to exactly what you need—this keeps your spreadsheets clean and manageable.
- Check the Export Log if you accidentally close the download window or want to redownload a previous export.
